BAND
Description
Photography for advertising campaign of Dutch watch label, Kyboe!
The agency developed a campaign around the tagline 'bigger is better', to focus on the sheer size of the fashion watch. Certain elements in the photographs were digitally manipulated in post production to create an obscure and surrealistic look, while a series of suggestive scenarios were conceived to enhance the sex appeal of the brand.

Description
Photography for the branding exercise of Concorde Hotel.
Working closely with the agency, we developed a series of monochromatic photographs to capture a rare sight of the hotel - it's environment, people and behind the scenes.
The branding exercise provided Concorde with a bold, contemporary outlook, in line with their new monochromatic brand identity.

The Design Society
Description
Photography for the marketing campaign of The Design Society Conference 2010.
The brief was to create a series of photographs on Singaporeans in an atypical fashion where they are being tested and judged. The idea of the quotient in percentage - skill based versus the design literacy - is one that Singaporeans are very much aware of. We suggested to have the subjects photographed lying on the ground as if they are being pinned down, placed on the spot to be tested.

Broadsheet Melbourne
Description
For their Autumn 2011 issue, Broadsheet Melbourne approached us to work on a rather unusual story.
With the popularity of food tattoos rising in Melbourne, the magazine decided to investigate this rising phenomenon and commissioned us to photograph some of these friendly individuals who have given their skin a new scrumptious look. With tattoos like these, its really quite hard to associate these characters with the outlaw and the dangerous.

Description
A series of polaroid photographs taken during our visit of an old friend, George Gascon, at his farm located on a hill top in Philippines. Leaving behind a fast-paced and hectic lifestyle in Singapore, we came to the farm only armed with just a Polaroid land camera and boxes of polaroids to pursue a change of scenery.
It was there that we became acquainted with the Filipino obsession of boxing, their love for national hero, Manny Pacquiao, George's farm; and his beloved dogs Capa and Bresson, affectionately named after the legendary photographers.
All in all, it was a good week's break from urban civilization.

Description
A visual essay for Australian designer, Karlee Slater.
The first time we met Karlee, it felt like we were transported back to a 1950s film set. Stepping into her office, we were brought back in time where everything in it seemed like they were as old as the GPO building itself.
The city of Melbourne is the perfect set for our shoot. We really didn't have to walk far to find the perfect location for the shoot.

B.A.L.L.S approached us to develop a photo essay on the making of Huat Kueh (a local confectionery) to tie-in with the launch of RJ Paper's new Maple Series.
The brief was to photograph my parents' kueh-making process. It was a great opportunity to document my family's business - a dying trade with few left in Singapore. The location seen in these pictures has since been vacated to make space for a food court establishment.

Having developed a unique approach of shooting objects in Possession, we introduced that to our clients who found it useful to have their projects documented in a similar fashion.
This approach of studio photography gives life to otherwise inanimate object, adding a sense of energy and motion while drawing the viewers attention in an enigmatic manner.

Surround Studio
Description
An on-going series of photographs documenting other people's possessions.
While clearing up the studio one day, we noticed how much things we have accumulated over time. Although we once loved these items - they have now become junk to us. That made us rethink what owning things really meant. Are they only on lease to us for as long as we have an interest in them? Or do we really own and possess these things or do they possess us?
We posted these questions to a few friends and invited them to share with us the items they cannot live without. This project brings out the life in these objects, which have become the very essence of who we are.

There's a lot to be said about the humble waiter. They deliver us coffee in the morning to ease us into the day, feed us lunch to get us through the afternoon and serve us dinner at the end of it all.
The rise of food culture has elevated their position from a simple server to that of an influential gatekeeper to the kitchen. They are the ones who offer us a seat, hang our jackets and pour our water. Our waiter can be as familiar as an old friend and remember the way you like your eggs and coffee. They are the epitome of hospitality and in being so, look professional and cool. Here are a few waiters around the city of Melbourne we shot in action, looking good during service.

It was the morning of Christmas eve. There were joggers and walkers. Folks who were out walking their dogs. A couple enjoying a picnic together.
It was quieter than usual, at least quieter than what Yoyogi park is capable of on a weekend in summer. Christmas is not a holiday in Japan. The only thing christmas-y we felt was the immensely cold weather. We came to the park for a walk and found people who were just out and about, doing their usual thing.
The homeless can be found everywhere in the park - just minding their own business, reading the morning paper (from days ago), napping or just sitting around. It was just another ordinary friday morning at Yoyogi Park.
